Dont know if I am applying as domestic or international...

Right now, I do not have my green card, and I dont think I will before the ED deadline.
But my parents do own a house here and have been paying taxes for the past 6 years (which is enough to be considered domestic for the UC system). I am on the stage right before they administer the green card . I tried searching through Penn's website but I could not find any information discussing what qualifies as an international applicant or a domestic applicant. If anybody could give me a link or some other information that would be great!

Thanks in advance.

Contact the school…

From what I believe, domestic=having citizenship in the US. But then again, if you ever have such a simple question that has a large influence on your app, contact!

If you don’t have a perm resident card, you’re being lumped in the international pool. But if you actually obtain it between now and late March, I would definitely tell Penn.

Good luck.

I haven’t actually applied yet, I’m still a rising junior…but that is still bad news

Sent from my SPH-D710 using CC

Are you Canadian? If so you’ll be considered a domestic student in that they won’t consider your ability to pay when evaluatin your application.

Yes I am a Canadian citizen; so would I still be put into the international pool?

Nvm guys, I think it will be best that I contact UPENN, unless you guys have a link to their policy regarding this.
