Don't know if I should self-study AP Physics 1...

So I really want to self-study AP Physics 1 but I have a problem doing so. Currently I’m a Junior taking APUSH, AP Lang & Comp, and AP Chem. The first two I have no problem with (grade-wise), but AP Chem is sort of killing me. I’m doing fine in APUSH but it takes up a LOT of time. AP Lang seems too easy and I suspect my teacher for the class won’t prepare us very well. For Chem, it looks like I might get a high C or low B this quarter. I also have a few clubs to worry about (Speech & Debate and MUN). Last but not least, I have the SAT to worry and study about. I don’t know if I’m putting too much on plate and I don’t know if AP Physics 1 is even feasible to self-study since I haven’t found much time to study for it.

For starters, don’t do something extra at the expense of your current courses. If you’re struggling in chem, devote more time to that. There are online resources to help you.

Secondly, for many reasons, taking a class is better than self studying.

Finally, AP Physics 1 has one on the lowest percentage of 5’s of almost any AP exam. 5% last year and almost 60% failed it, and that’s with most people having actually taken the class.

So, no, don’t do it.
