Don't let your cat play with rubber bands!

I just saw a photo where a cat had to get operated on and it had a ton of rubber bands taken out of it. They cant digest them and they get stuck inside them. I had one on my floor and I saw my cat playing with it and he likes chewing them but then I looked again and he really did eat it so they like them. And now I try to not have any on the floor where he can get them.

omg!! poor kitty! :(

Hes still ok. But the vet said if it get twisted on his intestines then he will need surgery. And that costs like $1000 or more. She said it might come out on its own but if he doesn’t eat or starts puking that’s when its bad.

well i hope he gets better!!

Hes not sick now. But they said you can give them a pill that could make it come out. But when I asked the vet she yelled at me and made it sound like I was bad for letting him have rubber bands. And I didn’t know that he would eat them! He wont even eat any people food.
