Don't make college students mortgage their future

$6-7-8K/yr is peanuts compared to a private school (50K). When your parents went to college, they either worked their way through, joined the military, or took loans. The amount you will pay is very low for a first class education that you will have your entire life. Why should anyone besides you or your parents pay for your education? You can make that kind of money with a summer or part time job. I don’t understand why people feel they are entitled to make the taxpayer supplement their college costs. We used to even take a year off in college and actually work to help pay for it.
