Don't retest for a SAT and ACT score at +X?

What’s the minimum SAT/ACT score at which point it doesn’t make sense to re-test? (I understand there’s a 25-75 percentile range, and I understand one wants to be above the 75 percentile when possible. I understand that many most competitive LAC take a holistic approach, so it’s more than the numbers. And I believe larger universities have a more numbers driven application process.)

But there’s got to be a score at which point it doesn’t make sense to retake the SAT/ACT.

I’m guessing that’s 1450 SAT & 31 ACT? Thoughts?

For ivies/top schools, I’d say 34 and 1500. At that point it’s all relative. With those scores, you’ve shown you’ve met the threshold.
