wow, this is amazing. i’m extremely glad we have this day! haha… first beast has been everything that everyone here has said. Most of it is waiting in lines, marching, getting yelled at, and briefings. Seriously… Our 2nd Beast Cadre are in charge now, and all i have to say is… things will be very interesting when we come back. i definitely miss 1st beast cadre lol thanks for all the letters and encouragement; 2012 is halfway there!

Glad to see you're still alive! The second part of BCT is very different from the first (as is getting used to the new cadre members). Take the time you have now to relax, eat good food, and enjoy yourself. I wish you the best! :)

I had a brownie this morning... I sat at ease to eat it... I'm walking around without shoes on... life is good!

life rocks now. some interesting stories for later on:

day 3: cadets curry, underwood, and 5 flight staff surround my roomate and me after getting out of the bathroom. worst feeling in the world, but makes for a fantastic story. current cadets, use your imagination :) and it was over some little thing

field day: 2 parachutists didnt quite make the lacrosse field because the wind was so strong. one guy in my flight got a concussion.. he's outta it now.

intramurals: the BEST thing that happened to me. i loved softball. one guy on our team Form 34'd though (he left)

Towards the end, the cadre start going nuts... Saying insanely hilarious stuff

eventually i'll have to get around to all the stories. i have tons..

I too have about a million fantastic stories... some unbelievably disturbing, most hilarious. I haven't really gotten personally beaten or yelled at or anything, but the other night Cadet Mitchner came in my room so check if it was in SAMI. He scares the crap out of me anyway, but my room had blues shirts hanging everywhere... even off the desks! We were in the middle of ironing... ugh... I've also had a few kids in my flight form 34... but generally we're doing all right, we have a good attitude. I saw a guy break his nose in pushball yesterday, that was funny! I was afraid one of the parachutists was going to actually land on me yesterday! Our cadre also went nuts at the end. They were making fun of out smart flight, (we had more people qualify for calc 3 than pass the pft, though I fit in neither category) and we were doing finger exercises to get ready for our computers... anyway, the stories never end, so if anyone needs a laugh, hit me up!

buckaroo, I remember somehing very similar last year. the phone call was great and everything was right with the world. Enjoy yourself when you can and push through the hard stuff. BCT will be over before you know it. Potter is with you in spirit since she'll be on the side of a mountain with little or no food during the next few weeks.

Oh she's doing cst right? That should be interesting!

Yes she starts today as I understood. She followed you guys the last three weeks with Webguy and experineced PTSD. Kept saying I'm glad I'm not there or I remember that.

I hear webguy is getting shut down! Tell me it's just a rumor!

I'm still in trouble because I left my web belt at the bible study in Fairchild! Hopefully, sounding off made a better impression to 2nd beast cadre. One of them was in special forces training). Life is good!

Is anyone else in Hellcats?

Rumor buckaroo. They just changed it to a paid side for all the pix and an open side for limited pix.

I'm in Demons, and I heard about that canteen thing. Apparently some cobras got beat when your cadre were looking for the canteen because "one of your classmates has made a mistake" or something like that.

I just ate an amazing meal at rest, I took a nap, called my family. Life is indeed good (for now). Tonight is not going to be fun though

in 2 short hours, it'll be hell all over again. i've seen usafa10s numerous times, she's in a different demons flight than me though. just keep strong, and like they said, it'll be over before we know it. Push through the yelling and screw ups. Remember that even the cadre cant stop time. It'll all pass. Good luck guys and i'll see you on the other side

I am alive!!! 3 weeks ladies and gentlemen... We got this!

(thanks for the letters from everyone on here, it truly makes my day...)

2012 Never Falter, Never Fail...

BTW, Flying Tigers won field day, and we're the number one squad after BCT I, ill be in CS-24 too, yikes...

DDO was good. I didn't take a nap. I ate a burger, a boatload of candy and cookies, a pickle or two, played some pool, and watched Troy. Ahhh, a day at REST (not at EASE). Time to get back into the good old blues.

Just being around and being human, remembering civilian life makes DDO just amazing.

Question: If you live in Colorado, can your parents come pick you up for doolie for a day? Or are you required to stay with a host family?

you're required to stay with a host family

Thanks AC. Thats what I thought. Thanks!

haha, good job airforce16 and missmuff...heard you guys are making 24 proud...keep up the good work. And Mamboguy, I'm in 33, so you'll see me a lot during the semester (although you won't see this for another 3 wks now...)
