Does anyone have a picture or schematic of the bathrooms in Donlon?

How many shower stalls are there in the bathroom? How many sinks?

When one is done showering and needs to do hair and (somedays) makeup, is that done in one's room or in the bathroom? We weren't sure if there was enough sink space, outlets, etc. Do the girls generally do their makeup in their rooms?

Is the co-ed bathroom set up differently? Does that bathroom get used primarily for the toilets or sinks, or do both girls and guys shower in there at the same time? If so, how is one's privacy managed?

How crowded do the bathrooms get in the mornings or evenings?

the bathrooms can get fairly crowded especially for showers. some of the showers dont work too well.

for the co ed bathrooms, both girls and guys use at the same time, whether if its toilet/sink or shower. i don’t know what you mean by how’s one’s privacy managed… lock the doors…?

I usually do hair things in my room. when I have rarely worn make-up I’ve also done that in my room. every room I’ve had at Cornell the mirror has been plenty big and convenient for that function. I’ve seen people doing those things in the bathroom though too, so it wouldn’t be weird.

in my co-ed shower experiences (not in Donlon but at CU) the main thing is to just keep the curtain carefully closed. I was apprehensive at first but there’s never been an issue.

actually i think in donlon they have 2 curtains now for the co ed bathrooms… i know when i was there 3 yrs ago, they had 1 curtain and it moved everytime someone opened the door lol. and in my 3 years here i never had a room with mirror.

Yep. There are multiple toilet stalls and shower stalls, and you’ll probably never have to wait for one. Each shower has a small changing area (closed off by a curtain) with a seat/shelf thing and a couple of hooks, so you’ll have a space to change and hang your towel/clothes. Some girls were worried by the lack of locking doors, but they would bring a couple of pieces of tape to secure the curtains.

No problem. If you search the forum for Balch Hall, there was a really good (and long) thread with lots of answered questions about Balch. You can always PM me too, I’m happy to help!
