I've been looking for some cool furniture to put in a dorm room. I'm trying to maximize my space cause I have so little of it. I'm trying to find a chair that I can also use as a desk, (fold down writing slab). Basically I'm trying to find student friendly furniture that is multi-funtional yet comfortable. I've been searching the web but no luck. Any suggestions?

Loft your bed.

Lofting your bed is not a bad idea, but i would imagine that you already have lots of stuff being stored under your bed already. So the real gain might only be more vertical storage and a decrease in comfort for sleeping since your bed is not lofted. this is a compromise you will have to think about. If you do not have stuff under your bed already than this could be a great alternative and you can usually fit a futon or love seat under the bed. Some other options are some folding chairs that can be kinda comfortable. One of my college friends fathers owns a company called directionseast.com and they sell chairs at target and such stores that are kinda cool. he gave us a bunch for our dorms. Well anyways best of luck and if i think of anything cool i will let you know.

Hard to imagen myself in college, on bunkbeds. I think loft will give a hudge plus to space etc... it's more efficient.
