Does anyone have any pictures or links of Harvard freshmen rooms? What do they look like? How big are they? etc....

http://mit.edu/trishin/Public/froshdorms/

Click on the dorms (in red) on the map to see exterior and interior photos of the Harvard dorms.

Click one for exterior pic, and twice for closeup and a gallery of enlargeable interior photos.

Wow... I'm pretty impressed... most of the dorms are a LOT larger than the UNT dorm i'm currently in... and more recently renovated or jus plain newer...

Here's a link to the whole Harvard Prefrosh Page.

It has this map and a whole lot of other interesting stuff.

Oh, how I love harvard. If only your film deparment didn't suck! Damnit, I now I kind of want to go...

It didn't stop Matt Damon or Natalie Portman from being in the business!

Haha, I know, but they're pretty actors. I'm a scruffy director.

I'm serious though, looking at those pictures makes me want to go really badly. Especially looking at my sister's old dorm...Haha, I'm so neurotic.

The link to photos of Mass. Hall in post #2 above is broken. Here is a better one:

Mass. Hall is cool. Built in 1720!

Also John Lithgow.

I was speaking to today's generation.

(Didn't mention Jack Lemmon et al either!)

And don't forget teenie heartthrobs Hilary and Halie Duff, both famously enrolled in the Harvard Extension School!

Other names: Tommy Lee Jones, Mira Sorvino, and film director Mira Nair.

I didn't realize that Mira Nair went for graduate school in sociology. She was my teacher this summer at nyu (funny because she advised me to go to nyu over havard)...this is so confusing.

Some of those dorm photos are misleading, or maybe I got stuck with the small room during my visit. The rooms that I saw in Weld were definitely a LOT smaller. If you see some large-ish rooms that aren't specifically labeled "common room," they probably are common rooms, although the set-up might make you think it's a bedroom. The bedroom is about 1/3 the size of the common room.

some of the rooms are so teeny tiny looking (but others look big). i guess i have been spoiled being a boarding school gal who lives all by herself in a double this year (senior privileges, baby). meh. i am sure i will get used to it.
