Dorm room: Single vs. superdouble?

At my school, a single room costs the same as a superdouble ( a superdouble is pretty much a room for two that is big enough to fit 3 or 4 people i.e. a large double). I applied for the superdouble because I thought a single will be much more expensive but I just found out today that they cost the same. So, do you think I should go ahead and change my contract? Is is better to have a roomate? What are the pros and cons?

Btw, I am a transfer student starting this fall at the new school. I will be a junior.

Thanks

Is the single in a suite with adjoining rooms that share some sort of common space? Is the hall of the single relatively social? If it’s a yes to those questions, I’d go for a single.

Mmmm…I hadn’t thought about looking at those features. Thanks Niquii77!!

As a transfer, having a roommate might be easier for you to make friends.

Get the double, especially if you don’t know anyone at the school as a transfer.
