That would be awesome. People could meet at re-visit day!

Yesssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have made 2 REALLY good friends on here; I talk to both on AIM EVERYDAY.

I mean, if we I had my druthers I would live in a triple dorm, haha. But, short of being lucky enough to end up roommates with one of them, it'd still be fantastic to at least be able to meet and be friends!

As for the actual topic, I'm a little pro-roommate. It's not that I'm super-social, it's just that I like people! I know there may be disputes, but it builds your people skills and ability to reconcile differences--you know, find a common ground.

i'd llove a roomie for the insta-friend stuff. It's really hard being in a completely new environment and ALONE, so having someone that you live with and share some interests with is good.

plus, it would just be cool.

Roomate xD I like company, but we could do our different things, so we don't feel claustrophobic.

Now, I've thought about it a bit more, I wouldn't really mind either way. I'd get by.

I don't think I could go on w/out a roomie. Luckily, almost all freshmen have to have one, so that'd be pretty much guaranteed, providing I get ACCEPTED.

As far as bad roomies go, I think they're few and far between. Remember, you potential roomate has to cope with your bad ahbits as much as you have to cope with theirs.

And I'm starting to typre really fast (formally)!

Itd be nice for late night homework help or something.

I'm up after 12 many nights. I feel bad for my future roomate.

Cool statistic... Middlesex has 80%+ singles. If you request one, you get it.

Im sure everyones up after 12 most nights..I would imagine atleast.

so freshmen don't get to choose???
we HAVE to have a roommate!?!?!!?!?!? =(

I think having a roommate would be an enriching and...interesting experience. I'm up for it.

so you really think it'd be cool to put up with a roommate???
with the snoring (it happens!), different tastes, arguments, etc. ?

I dont think I could handle snoring! I think I want a roommate though to get the full expirience but I dont like the risks like snoring or not getting along.

Personally, I think that living with a roommate is a very valuable experience. This is my first year at BS and if I did not room with the girl I am with I most likely would have never spoken to her and been unaware of the totally awesome person that she is.

I'd want a roomate because then you would have a pretty much instant friend. I don't think that fights between roomates would happen that often, since you and your roomate both know that you sre stuck with each other for the whole year, so you might as well be nice to each other.

I agree, GoBigRed12, my roommate and I are very good friends, but if we were not roommates, we would have never talked. I'm glad she's my roommate, because she's so nice and fun!

And plus if you have a roommate you have a bigger room and a bigger stock of food which equals more people hanging out in your room and getting to know you :)!

Sounds to me just like living with my family, except my roommate and I wouldn't be related!

i would love to have a roommate! as GoBigRed and AGSAABS said, they wouldnt be friends with their roommates if they werent roomies. plus, you could ask for a transfer if you and your roommate really dont get along.

then again, i dont really care, as long as i GET IN! thats the big thing! if they want to put me in a room with 3 other people, fine with me. haha :)
