Dorm vs. Off-Campus

So I got accepted to Cal Poly- San Luis Obispo. Now the big decision has come. Dorms or off-campus. I eally can't decide. I like the freedom of off-campus, but everyone says that dorms are best. Im really not a "loud" person and I swear i would die if people are loud because I LIKE my sleep. so what should I do, or moreover what are you guys doing, or what did you do and why. ANd if you are already in college, did you make the right choice and would you change your decision if you had a chance

do the dorm thing freshman year because you'll meet more people and it'll center you while you try to adjust and figure stuff out.

then move off campus because dorm life gets annoying.

any more suggestions

dorm>> off-campus

I agree, you just don't get the whole college experience if you start off living off-campus. Once you have figured out the social life and have friends and are settled, you can live off campus but I would not recommend it until sophomore if not junior year.

I STRONGLY recommend housing on campus your 1st years. Besides all the social reasons (meeting more people, feeling connected etc), if Cal is anything like Ann Arbor, by this time, if you don't have your off campus housing set up for next year, you're gonna have a tough time finding something good.
