dorming

where are you from lefay

Double at Foothill for me. It was my 1st choice and I applied right before the deadline. Talk about a lottery system...

yeah i know what you mean. I was talking to my friends the other day and many of them ended up with rooms they didn't even list in their preferences. Yet i somehow got my first choice, double at freeborn.

nbanyk: i'm from malaysia.

hey, when are we allowed to move in to the dorms? that'll determine when i fly over.

Lefay, you're lucky your country is kind enough to give you a scholarship. I don't get any aid, and i was applying for aid at other schools where i didnt get in.
I think you can start living in your dorm on the 22nd of August, I think thats the orientation week. The term starts on the 29th.

CousinC, we're gonna have so much fun in CK. Did you hear about the pool??

Shaaser, uhm... a pool as in billiards or as a swimming pool? :-P
srry, lately, only thing i've been doing is trying to figure out class schedules.
but def, CKC is gonna be awesome.

It seems simple enough to understand why some people get a high-preference assignment, and others get nothing on the list. If one lists a preference that is in low demand, he or she will probably receive it. I haven't heard of anyone listing the all male or all female dorms as a first priority and not receiving the respective assignment. Far more people want mini-suites, doubles, and Clark Kerr spaces. If one isn't an athlete, or one doesn't have some other special claim to housing or housing preference, the random lottery number decides your fate.

I guess I'm just really lucky - definitely not an athlete of any kind!! lol

Have you seen that Six Flags commercial with that weird old guy dancing around? Awesome!

If memory serves me right, move-in day is August 21, 2005
