<p>I know you couldn’t have a refrigerator in your room. I don’t know if that’s so in the other dorms. The other restrictions had to do with fire hazards and, I assume, applied to all dorms (eg: hot pots have to have auto off switches). Other than that it was pretty common sense. Recycle, turn off your lights, don’t waste water. And like the other dorms, there’s a common “kitchen” area with a refrigerator and microwave. And you were encouraged to use the stairs, saving the elevator for when you were carrying stuff.</p>

<p>@iluvcawledge: Since the students who live in Kahn and Dascomb are all first-years, there’s an entirely new population every year. Each new group of students will develop its own identity and sense of community, so it’s very hard to predict what they’ll be like next year. Structurally, the only difference would be whether you wanted to live in an environmentally-themed dorm or not.</p>
