im coming to case next fall, figured id get some questions answered from the people inside first:

Housing - quads vs. hall? ive read over the pros and cons, but does anybody have the impression a quad would be the worst experience in the world (or a hall)?

More importantly, the cliche question: which house is best?
Specifically, which house is best for a chem major (strongly leaning towards chem), and which dorms are best by location? of course this is a personal opinion, im ok with that

Also i heard none of the dorms (freshman) have air conditioning - true/false?

Lastly, how is case campus generally? ive seen it, mostly the eng quad tho and what not - how are the residential villages?

thanks in advance

ALSO
if anyone has anything to say about the biochemistry dept at case, id be very interested to hear

Quad vs. Hall:
I think everyone ends up pulling for whichever one they were in. I liked quads because I was in one.

Houses don’t really have constant personalities, there’s really no way of knowing what they’ll be like next year.

Unless you have a medical condition that requires it, you will not be provided with an air conditioner. You may be able to get a window air conditioner, but I’m not sure. Most students don’t think that the two weeks of the year that AC might actually be useful make buying your own AC unit worth it. Plus those two weeks are the first weeks of classes during which you probably won’t have much work so shouldn’t be sitting in your dorm during the hot parts of the day anyhow.

Not really sure what your question “about the campus generally” is supposed to be about.

Biochem I’ve heard is a good program, one thing that I don’t like about it (it may just be a natural consequence of ANY biochem program, not just Case’s) is that you don’t really take any actual biochem classes until Jr year. I took one biochem class and thought it was good.
