Best dorms for freshmen?

I’d like to know this too! Is there specific dorms for freshman?

The jungle is where most freshmen are located. Almost all freshmen are in the same building.

By the jungle you mean north?

God Save you from the North Quad. Simply disgusting. How is it possible that a student paying 30k+ for out of state education is placed in such ugly dorms. The showers, the rooms, even the ceiling is bad. yuck. Northwest is much better as i seen and the other ones tend to be better but your first year is not going to be so good if you are place in North

Are the freshmen placed together in the suites?

I’ve visited Uconn a couple times. I’ve stayed overnight a for a couple days. I’ve talked to many of my friends who are currently at UConn. Most students who have a science type major live in Towers, North, or Northwest. I didn’t visit anywhere else. All the dorms are the typical small, unfurnished dorm room.

Towers: Dining hall located on the first floor. Plenty of study lounges.

North: Most people say it’s the oldest and the worst dorm. From my visit, it’s very basic. Hallways and dorms…that’s all. I didn’t see any lounges.

Northwest: Most people say it’s being renovated. There’s a recreation room on the first floor which is cool. Other than that it looks the same as North.
