Dorms

D assigned to Easton Hall, ground floor (not first floor)…are there windows in those rooms? Just looked at the PDF of floor plans, looks teeny tiny. Anyone have information on Easton Hall for freshman?

Hi there,

I’m actually living in Easton too next year, and I checked the floor plan, and I’m pretty sure there are windows on the ground floor rooms. As for the size of the room, it really does depend on the room your daughter is in. They do range from 150 to 330…

Also, I know as a freshman I did not spend a lot of time in my room. So while right now the room size may be a large concern, once you get settled in and develop a good friend group , it won’t really matter because most of your time will be spent outside your room.

Also, feel free to DM me if you have any more questions about dorms at Lafayette.

@hiasco thanks for feedback. I talked with Res Life today and the ground floor units do have normal sized windows. Also, she said rooms on ground floor face downtown/woods so it seems like a pretty good location. All first year females on ground floor too which could make for a nice group of friends. Only 6 bedrooms on that floor so it might even be somewhat quiet. Fingers crossed…
