does anyone know what the Wilson building is like? I got assigned to a triple there, and I'm not sure if I should request a change to a double. Any advice?

Wilson is the best freshman dorm on East Campus!!!! It is the only one with suite-style living. The other dorms have hall bathrooms.

My daughter lived in Wilson last year and loved it. She had been told by an upperclassman the year before to request Wilson if she could. She could not make a request, but like you, she just lucked out in dorm assignment!

The only down side to Wilson is that its residents must clean their own bathrooms. The hall bathrooms of the other freshmen dorms are cleaned by a custodial staff.

I don't know about a triple assignment, but that probably means that your room is a little larger than most. What floor are you on?

many years ago, wilson used to house faculty members, thats why its structure is different from other dorms.

Also, a few other great things about Wilson:

The resident professor who lives there is wonderful to all the students! She regularly has special nights when any interested students are invited to visit her apartment for homemade cookies and other treats.
My daughter has already said that she will really miss her next year and plans to go back for visits. This same professor hosted Thanksgiving for the international students in the dorm who could not go home for the short holiday. In addition, she would often take small groups of students to cultural events in the area when she had extra tickets.

If you've looked at an East Campus map, you will see that Wilson is located next door to the building which houses the Marketplace, the freshman post office, and a convenience store. It is so easy to get to breakfast in a hurry before class!

you've got prime real estate (close to marketplace and bus). and my friends in wilson had an awesome time!
