Dos and Donts of overnight visits

So I have a few nescac overnights coming up this next month and I wanted to hear some opinions and experiences as far as what to expect and what not to do

Enjoy yourself, meet as many people on the team as you can, ask a lot of questions about the team and school, do not get carried away if you go to a party. You’re there to evaluate the team and the school and for the team to evaluate you.

Define carried away and how they evaluate you at parties?

@doubtful

I would highly recommend that you do not drink. Some coaches or teams might not think it is a big thing but it is better to be safe than sorry! Get a cup and put pop or water in it. If you are holding a drink it is less likely that you will be offered alcohol.

Best not to drink at parties during the OV. Nothing will end a recruit’s chances faster than an instagram photo of him/her passed out drunk.

Avoid drinking
Avoid trying to “impress” your hosts, lest ye come off as a braggart
Be friendly and modest
Assume that anything you say to anyone will eventually make it back to the coach’s ears

Great advice! Especially the cup in hand idea!
