I've always had a struggle between the pursuit of music and the pursuit of academics. For that reason, when I found out about the Double Degree Program, I knew that it was for me. I did my research and studied up on what it would take, and I know that you have to apply for each school (Peabody and Johns Hopkins) separately with the double degree supplement to your application. I just want to know what it takes to even be considered for such a demanding program.
Is it enough (academically) to have great standardized test scores, lots of high AP scores, awesome Essays, and great teacher recommendations?
Is it enough (musically) to have a great audition, lots of performance backround, and high placement in state and national competitions.
Or do they have to see something that will make you stand out from the top applicants at BOTH schools?
Thanks!
