Is it possible to double major across colleges at Stanford? I want to double major in EE and physics.

Yes. It is possible. At Stanford there are no demarcation lines separating departments or colleges…any undergraduate can switch from EE to Physics to CS to Music to Classics to Philosophy to Chemistry to Chemical Engineering to Mechanical Engineering to Human Biology and back to EE, etc…as along as you meet the requirements for the major(s)…

…whether you want to double major or not is up to you…can you handle it? Remember…at Stanford you have some of the brightest minds in each major vying to be the best at what they do…whether it’s physics, math, EE, CS, or biology (where most of the hardcore premeds hangout), economics, English literature, psychology, etc…you have to be on your toes…

…and having looked at your previous posts…at one time you were interested in pursuing chemical engineering or mechanical engineering…is that right? No worries. That is why if you are planning to apply in the near future and you have the highly competitive credentials necessary…and you are not certain what your ultimate major will be…try to get into a school that allows these great options without leaving a scar doing it…

…just work on getting in first…because this is all moot without the golden ticket. Hope this helps.

Certainly possible. I know many double majors. I even have a friend who originally wanted to triple major, and now she wants to quadruple major…we’ll see if the registrar is okay with that…

Yes, that should be very doable, just make sure you focus on fulfilling all your requirements; don’t forget you will need to fulfill WAYS, PWR, foreign language requirements, etc. along with your major requirements.
