Is it possible to double major; one major with a B.A. and the other with a B.S.; and receive two degrees? I am considering a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Anthropology.

Yes you can double major. You don’t get two degrees, however. You just get one diploma showing you have two majors. And one major has to be declared as the primary major. You can’t double major if both majors are in the same department. So a B.S./B.A. would generally work (unless you major in Psychology and Psychobiology, two different majors, one is a B.A. and one is a B.S. but both are in the same department). And you can’t exceed the maximum amount of credits allowed, if you do you’ll have to petition to allow a greater maximum. There are more little rules about double majoring but the above should give you a good enough answer.
I’m sure a double major in PoliSci and Anthro would work with no major (no pun intended) hurdles.

(i’m pretty sure about all this, but not absolutely certain)
