Double major between SEAS and CC?

Hello,

I am a gap year applicant who is applying again to Columbia this year. I was an extended waitlist applicant last time around, which is why I am applying early decision. However, my career plans have substantially changed since the last time I applied. During senior year, I wanted to be a political science major and applied to CC (where I got waitlisted). However, I am now thinking about pursuing computer science (even though I am still very passionate about political science). I was wondering if it would be possible for me to double in CS and polisci while in SEAS (cross-majoring?). Also, I was wondering if maybe Columbia might look down upon me switching schools for my second round of admissions. Thanks!

I think it’s not possible to do double majors across schools, but CS is offered in both the College and SEAS so you can double major in CC if that’s what you want!

Even doing CS and polisci in CC would be a challenge in 4 years. CS major is 41-44 points, polisci is 29 points, and the core is ~60 points.

You could do CS in SEAS and polisci in CC as part of the 3-2 program:
