Does ND allow students to mix and match majors and minors between colleges (e.g. a student double majoring in one field in the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Engineering)?
Yes. My youngest, a rising sophomore is majoring in two different colleges. It is common enough that they already had a planned schedule for the classes for the combination she is pursuing. If you are lucky, there’s crossover in requirements and you have extra room in your schedule for some fun stuff! That probably won’t happen with an engineering major, however.
Engineering and Arts and Letters have a wonderful program that gives you a dual degree and is 5 years. Many students who do it think it is one of the best things they have done. That being said, doing summer school might allow it to happen in 4 years!
