Double Major: Engineering and Business

Hey all!
I was just wondering if double majoring in engineering and business as an undergraduate is possible, and if so, what the coursework/difficulty would be like.

Thanks in advance!!

there is no business major, so it would literally be impossible. you could double with econ though, and that’s been done by many of my friends. It’s a doable double, less work than doubling with a hard science

ahh i see…
how are the econ classes?

Econ’s a difficult major, and engineering is no piece of cake. It’s not a double major that would be highly recommended due to grade deflation you’ll suffer, but it’s certainly doable.

Econ’s one of Dartmouth’s strongest majors, and the profs are really great. The median in econ is a B (department standard/regulation), the tests are difficult, and it’s a relatively medium sized major (2 prereq’s, 9 major classes, six of which you choose, three of which are required). The prereqs are introductory microeconomics and stats. The three required classes for the major are microecon, macroecon, and econometrics. The 6 remaining classes come from two tracks (the international track, the labor track, the honors track, etc). You pick two tracks that hold interest to you and take a series of classes all on that topic resulting in a culminating experience in your 40’s level.
