I was admitted to UT recently, and I’m in the International Relations and Global Studies major. I’m quite nervous that if I graduate with this degree, jobs will either be few and far between or offer low salaries. UT has an amazing undergraduate business school, and I would love to learn about the world while making myself more marketable. At the same time, I don’t want to move so far away from what I really love, International Relations, so I’m thinking about double majoring.
My question is, would putting in all the work and money into double major really help me? Would it increase my career prospects after I graduate, or my potential salary? Any advice on how to keep doing what I like but make myself more attractive to employers? Hearing from anyone who has done this or similar would be great!
