Are there people who double major in pharmacy and economics?
I might want to do it if there are such opportunities.
Or is it better to do Economics and biology? biology jobs do not seem in demand.

My stats are :

I don't see why you couldn't do it over the 6-7 years (depending on the school) of a PharmD program. Ideally you'd have AP credits and you'd need to go to school over summers. Take a look at some of the PharmD programs. There aren't a lot of electives once you get get admitted to a school of pharmacy.

Are you talking about PharmD or pharmaceutical sciences major? I think it would be a good combo with the B.S. program, but probably very challenging with a PharmD! There are some PharmD programs out there which allow you to have "concentrations" - Duquesne is one, I believe, that has some flexibility. Normally you wouldn't have time for a double major with a PharmD program unless you did a full summer courseload. And many PharmD's do summer courses to ease their course burden during the year!

looks like Pharm D is very tough to Double major.

What about just majoring in economics and molecular bio?

What kind of undergraduate degree do you need if I decide to go into Epidemiology?

Nepal - I don't mean to discourage you from PharmD + econ, I'm sure it can be done if that's what you really want and would probably make you a valuable asset to a pharm. company or gov't agency. But you'll have to work with your school and find one that offers both! I know people do PharmD+JD, PharmD + MBA, etc. so combo programs do exist. Why don't you see if you can identify a couple likely candidates and email them? This link will give you lots of info on pharm programs and other health careers:

Don't know much about molecular bio - again, it's something you could identify schools with both programs and ask them about it. Epidemiology is a very broad field - some are MD's, biostatisticians, etc. If you google it (ie. career in....) you'll come up with some useful links, professional societies, etc. My D did an internship in epi and, If I remember correctly, there are a few colleges out there that offer it as a minor or at the master's level. Your undergrad coursework can be biology, anthropology, sociology, etc. and I believe the specialization occurs at the master's/MD/PhD level.

There is a forum for med/pharm students who could probably help you out too:

Thanks for the encouragement sk8rmom

nepal - As I was just browsing the AACP site for info I noticed a link to dual degree programs. Univ. of Kentucky in Lexington does have a dual PharmD + MS Economics program. Don't know if you want to go that far from home, but UK does have an outstanding PharmD program (my bro + sis-in-law both grads there) and, although I haven't lived in Lexington for about 12 years, it was a nice city then and lots of school spirit there! Whole town is either horse or basketball crazy.

I am not a fan of the south. I rather stay east coast or go far west.

I know- I'm a NY'r and love California! But no one in KY thinks they're in "the south"! When I moved there they thought I was nuts to think the climate was better than the northeast - even they don't get much snow and it freaks them out when they do! Lexington is about an hour from Cincinatti and doesn't think it's a southern city at all - until you get 1/2 hour out of town to these mega-millionaire horse farms, then it's mint juleps on the verandah, lol!

haha. I'll check out kentucky
