How demanding would it be to major in both accounting and neurology? Because I want to be a neurologist and some sites said that I should consider majoring in neurology, but I'm planning on majoring in accounting in case I can't get into med school. Also, I would be on the pre-med track so would majoring in neurology be stupid?

Your reasoning seems sound enough. I would probably find out what certain med schools expect if you are going to be a neurologist. I would think that the “pre-med track” is for those who want to go to med school but are not 100% sure of what they want to be. I think that if you know you want to be a neurologist, it wouldn’t necessarily hurt, as you are going into the program with background.

I would probably compare it to an undergrad major compared to graduate school. If you know you want to be a mathematician, you will most likely do math as your undergrad, same with the sciences.

I honestly don’t know, but this is how I would think about it. Hopefully someone in your position can help more.
