Double Majoring and Feasibility?

Hey everyone! I was wondering if it would be possible to major in biological science (with a neurobiology track) and pyschology (with a neuroscience track)? I looked at the courses that are required and they are all really enticing, but I'm wondering if having a double major will prevent me from having a life at Stanford!?!?!?!

I saw a lot of great clubs and sororities during Admit Weekend, and I would definitely want to participate in a few. Thank you in advance and I appreciate all comments!! :)

Er, well, I'm not gonna say anything other than hold off a bit...time commitments are a level above and beyond what they were in high school, especially with dorm life being as big of a focus as it is here. The double major dilemma is one thing, that can be worked out pretty easily with some careful planning. Adding several extracurriculars...I guess it'd depend on what the extracurriculars are exactly, but still. Wait till you get here and then put one serving on your plate at a time, is my advice. :-)

Ah. I was originally a psych major on the neuroscience track with a bio minor. I switched last year to bio major (neurobiology track) with psych minor.

When you get here, you can plan with your advisor to see if this is actually possible. Keep in mind that if you do the neurobiology track for bio, you'll have to do research and complete an honors thesis.

Obviously, I think both departments are great; I think that you should wait until you get here and take some classes in both departments (and perhaps try out some research in both departments, which I have done) to see which you like better - or if you're in love with both.

So, I don't really think I can answer your question because you shouldn't consider a complex double major plan until you know you want to go through with it :)
