Double Majoring

I find Princeton to be an interesting school and have been considering it but I want to double major in Economics and Mathematics and from all that I've researched it seems as if that isn't possible. Have I just gotten the wrong impression?

It is possible. But you probably wont end up doing it. If you're at the top of your game, go for it. But you either would have to write 2 separate theses (i think one or two people in the history of the thesis have done this) or you have to somehow incorporate the 2 together.

Honestly, your major doesn't matter. Pick something you like, but you're graduating with a degree from Princeton. Someone will hire you.

Princeton's officialy policy is that it won't award two degrees to one person, so unfortunately, even if you complete the requirements for two majors, only one will show up as your actual major on your transcript and your diploma. That said, there are a number of certificates related to math and/or economics (particularly finance), and I'm sure you' could find ways to combine your interests in one or two of them.

Going to Princeton virtually guarantees you a job in the finance industry if you want one, so don't worry about choosing majors to affect your future career. Even English majors with little econ experience can go into banking.
