<p>How's double majoring in U of C? I know it's a really hard school even for one major, but how crazy would it be to double major economics and cs?</p>

<p>They didn't even start to allow double majors until the mid-nineties...as ottothecow said, they're no laughing matter. I suggest checking out a special field within your major or doing a minor, but as you are at the U of C, the place to be ambitious about academics, and you do ultimately decide to do a double major, more power to you!</p>
<p>There are also certain majors that allow you to specialize (sorta like a minor, I guess)...I'm looking at a BS in Math with Spec. in Econ...but I'm turned off by the fact that in that case it has to be a BS, meaning you have to take more science courses to graduate.</p>
