<p>Do double majors and or minors exist at the Academy? If possible do many take advantage of these?</p>

<p>Double majors do exist... however, to put it lightly, they tend to accompany a very "rough" schedule. Many times people who have a double major or a major and minor will have validated extra classes, and they will often take majors in related so that more of their classes will fit both matrices... Specifically, of those that have a minor, the most often example is someone with fairly extensive foreign language experience who is able to validate 4 semesters and then basically just throw several semesters of the same foreign language in the space that was opened up by validating. The only thing that I can say is that if you do choose to double major, expect an incredibly grueling courseload if your not one of the few people in your class to validate 7-8 semesters of various courses... All that being said, I have a friend who successfully double majored in chemistry and english</p>

<p>I'm trying to double minor in german and russian but I have extensive knowledge of german already. I didn't validate anything else and I'm looking in to see how the will fit with the chem major. It's doable but hard.</p>
