My daughter is thinking about majoring in Applied Math with a possible minor in Computer Science and is also interested in a Kellogg certificate. We're trying to figure out if this is possible to do in 4 years. As far as we can tell we can use 11 AP credits to cover electives/theme. The total requirements minus her AP credits still total 52 classes but we are wondering if there are many classes that can be used to cover multiple requirements. Any sense of this or does she need to pick either a minor or the certificate? Thanks!

It is perfectly possible and feasible. S is in EE, ISP, and Kellogg certificate and is expected to graduate in 4 years.

In general, you can double-count in most cases. So try to figure out what are the overlaps.

Hello! I completed an IEMS major, CS minor (almost enough courses for a second major), and Kellogg certificate with some extra Applied Math courses. This is certainly feasible with the proper planning and there are many ways to double-count courses. The Applied Math major tends to have few students and the requirements are relatively flexible, which will make it easier to complete an additional major/minor/certificate. Feel free to send me a PM if you would like to discuss further.

Thanks so much!
