Hello all,
I just finished my freshman year, and I'm trying to figure out scheduling for next year and following years, specifically for science. I took biology this year (no honors offered), and I decided to take Chemistry Honors as a sophomore, although I considered taking Chem Honors and AP Bio. I chose not to double up so I can take AP Computer Science (I love Comp Sci and will most likely major in the subject). Because of this, I most likely will then take AP Physics as a junior, then AP Bio and AP Chem as a Senior. So I'm wondering, does waiting until senior year to take those science classes look bad to colleges? I could double up junior year, but I'm planning to take university computer science courses, so I would like to have an open period. Any advice is much appreciated!

Thanks

I don’t think it looks bad, given that you’re going to be taking AP Comp Sci next year, as well as AP Physics your junior year.

I really don’t think colleges give a crap when you take an AP class. It just matters when you take it. For all they know your school doesn’t allow students to take AP science courses until their junior year.

AP Physics and AP Bio together is easier than AP Chem and AP Bio together.

I am doing the former senior year

^^ “colleges don’t give a crap when you take an ap,. It just matters when you take it.”

Umm. Lolwut

Sorry. It just matters THAT you take it.

No it doesn’t look my bad. My senior year I’m taking AP Physics B (never have taken physics before) and AP Chemistry this year. Junior year I took APES. They won’t mind that it’s your senior year. I’m just happy I’ll be able to take all the sciences that I wanted including a couple other sciences senior year. (5 credits).
