Dream: Stanford
Realistic: Pepperdine (at least I think I have a good shot) luckily it is my second choice :) Maybe even first..... But c'mon. Who would turn down Stanford?

Dream: Princeton, Dartmouth, or MIT
Real: Probably UC Berkeley. If i get a big scholarship, i might actually pick it over my dream schools. Not a big difference to me.

dream: community college
real: hobo

^Wait, I'm so confused Ivybound11, didn't you say you got a D or something in Algebra? Harvard is understandable, but why would you want to go to a tech school like MIT or Georgia Tech?

Ivybound11 pshhh more like
PRESTIGEWHORE!!11

^waitwut? are you saying im a prestige whore? cause im definitely not. dont hate. appreciate.

Dream School: Stanford and MIT
Realistic: Johns Hopkins and Duke

Dream School: Sewanee, Vandy
Real Life Expectation: University of Tennessee, UT-Chattanooga, Memphis

Money's my problem, mostly. I don't want to go into massive debt for college, so that rules them out. Nothing wrong with UT, UTC, or UM at all, though. All have engineering programs that get the job done.

dream:UCSB
real:UCSB

i have the credentials to get into a much more "prestigious" school and i come from a family with Stanford, Berkeley, and Harvard graduates/current students, but there is no way i could find myself at any other school. no way.

Lulz @ dis fanboy!

Dream School- MIT
Realistic- Cornell or carnegie mellon

It's saddening to see that some of the dream schools of some are realities of others. I'm in the similar boat. And it's just a little frustrating because I worked probably just as hard as all you people with schools like my dream school as your reality.

Dream school: Vanderbilt.

Reality: Florida State University.

@tomjonesistheman: maybe you're the one that's a whore because it's definitely not me.

@ Databox: I was under stress when i got that D so i know how to explain the situation and a tech school is not my first choice but again, i want as many options open as possible

Dream school: Dartmouth
Reality: Dartmouth (ED FTW)

I am so absurdly excited it still feels surreal.

Dream: Harvard or Stanford

reality: Stanford( in SCEA) and still a chance for Harvard( find out in april)

Dream: Stanford
Reality: USC (already accepted!)

Dream: MIT (gah so many MIT lovers on here :) )
Realistic: Cal, UCLA, JHU

L O L.. i just realized what i said in my earlier post:

Dream: Harvard
Real: GA Tech, GA state, stanford (NOT MIT.. i'm not applying there)

Dream: IU-Bloomington

Real Life: IU-Bloomington

I feel blessed that my dream school isn't competitive =]

Dream: Berkeley

Reality: UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCI, hopefully not a state school

Dream: Stanford, MIT, Princeton
Reality: NC State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech

Right now I'm looking at an aerospace engineering major. It's unlikely that I'll go to any of the dream schools unless I'm offered substantial financial aid.
