Doing my best @dietz199 ! Another shoe box is on the way here… fancy flip flops for big kid.
Mr. B had a tradition: on my birthday, he would go shopping with me. That was one and the only day of the year he would step inside a shopping mall (until they got Tesla stores there). Alas, no shopping this year, so I am on my own, armed with my phone and dangerous (to the budget).
I thought the wool Allbirds would not be OK for summer, but when I was at a conference in Miami May a year ago, 3 of the young tour guides in Little Havana wore them and said they were perfect and breathed really well! As a result, I DO wear mine!
I love my Allbirds tree runners. They are my favorite shoes.I have a similar style in wool made by Hoka. I find the Hoka hot and I have them in my thrift store bag.
I bought these white linen colored Sandals. I like the little bit of lavender around the bottom. I normally don’t buy this style, but I think they look so cute on when looking at the reviewer pics.
@BunsenBurner I really like the Michael Kors dress you just bought (post 10997). About a year or so ago, I ordered a dress soooooo much like that one, also by Michael Kors, for my young adult daughter. I really liked it and when she tried it on, it looked perfect on her. But she turned it down and returned it. So, I’m glad someone else is getting that look!
@conmama espadrille wedges are my favorite shoe style.
My denim dress arrived! I love it!! It fits well, not skin tight, just like a shirt dress is suppose to fit; however, it is just above the knee… so will be worn with leggings. ‘Cause my knees are old and wrinkly.
@BunsenBurner - I’ve kind of gotten past worrying about old and wrinkly knees living in Florida. Whole lotta people old and wrinkly all over - no one seems to care. My legs are certainly not my best feature, and it’s maddening since I am a faithful exerciser. That collagen breakdown or whatever is no fun. But, I’m trying to embrace that people my age are supposed to be a bit wrinkly and that is okay!
@Hoggirl , i also agree! That collagen breakdown is so aggravating and absolutely nothing to be done about it. No matter how much leg strength exercises I do. Muscles look pretty good, but the inside of my legs …grrrr.
I don’t worry about my knees anymore, but I do know we all have to wear what makes us feel comfortable. The skin above my knees is also wrinkled, but about 50% less so since I started using the leg cream that Angie from Hot and Flashy recommended. It takes at least 6 months of use, Everyday at first, then 3 times a week when I went to my 2nd bottle. But it worked for me. They are not gone , but the wrinkles seem less deep and don’t bother me quite as much. I’m not as self conscious. I use it all over my legs and arms. I use the Alpha one, white bottle.
I’m sort of sad about the just announced Brooks Brothers bankruptcy- looking back on my career. I bought many a button down shirt there! But very few people wear that type of clothing anymore- even before COVID. Business casual did them in.
I’m sort of sad, too. Their clothes were very well made… good shirts and cute dresses, too. I felt that the quality slipped recently though (as pretty much it did everywhere - in the quest for faster fashion).
I agree, Bunsen. Our company is big on logo wear and the fit of the women’s shirts that the vendor provides isn’t the greatest. We have the option of buying our own shirts and having the logo applied. About 5 years ago I got a really nice Brooks Brothers button down- no iron- and it still looks great. I haven’t liked the quality of many of the other things since then, though.
