Drew U vs Northeastern U

Hey guys, I'm torn between Drew Univeristy and Northeastern University

I'm an international student so a campus visit is out of the question but i'd like a non-biased opinion about the two schools.

I'm planning on doing biochemistry with a pre-med focus. Both schools are offering a sholarship but Drew's scholarship award is greater :/. I like both schools they both have a great atmosphere, acording to current students, and they both seem to prepare students for careers in medicine but I still cant seem to make up my mind:/

Help!!!

You can get a good education in pre-med at either school. The big differences between Drew and Northeastern are size and location. Drew has about 2000 students (undergrad and graduate combined) whereas Northeastern has about 40000 students. Drew has a secluded wooded campus in a quiet suburban town, whereas Northeastern in the heart of Boston. I think the choice between Drew and Northeastern is a personal one depending on whether you prefer a small school or big one, and suburban or urban location.

In terms of atmosphere, I don’t know a whole lot about Northeastern, but as an alumnus of Drew I can tell you that Drew is hit or miss depending on the student. Students who like an environment where they know a lot of the other students, and are okay with a more low-key social life, do well at Drew. People I knew who wanted more action on the social scene, or wanted a wide pool of students to interact with often didn’t like Drew, and transfered out after a year. Going to Drew is like living in a village – it can be nice, but it’s not for everybody.

Northeastern has 20,000 students, not 40,000.
