Hey Y'all :)
So I am trying to decide between:
1) Drew University in Madison, NJ
2) Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ [A&S, business]
3) The College of New Jersey in ewing, NJ
As my top safety school!

I would appreciate any feedback from current students or any admitted students planning on attending.
I was already admitted to all three schools.
Which school is generally better if i plan on doing theater and/or journalism and pre-law?
I know they are random, but I think I want to double major in the first two and minor in poli.sci. as of now.
(I would love to work on Bway, but if not Journalism or Law as backups. Which of these three schools are best for this?)
In Rutgers I got into Arts and Sciences and the Business School
Also, size is not a matter for me (idk large or small)

As far as all of these go, what is your recommendation for me and why?
Thanks alot

I also applied to these three, and i know that Drew is BIG on theater, as you probably know. It seems like they are big on Arts and Sciences too. They have almost no business school, it was created two years ago haha.
TCNJ has a great business school, I don’t know about theater, but Arts and sciences is pretty big too. I think that TCNJ maybe a little more reputable…
As for Rutgers, great Arts and Sciences, great business, great political science, lots of things to do, great sports, good internships, diverse community, great study abroad, and Mason Gross school of the arts I hear is fairly reputable too.

Obviously, you can tell which one I like best…
If theatre is what you’re sure you want to pursue, I wouldn’t attend TCNJ.

Thank you!!
I know MG School of the Arts is reputable, but I did not apply there. Only to A&S and the business school (as a super safety, since I’d prefer the Arts and Sciences school)
So I don’t know what it would be like as an arts and science student attempting to be greatly involved with the theater culture on campus…?

I know Drew is big on Theater, as well, but how are the academics overall?
Also, TCNJ eh for Theater, but a good school overall, right? – And I theater is only a minor there, so I don’t know…

Obviously, all schools would allow for Theater-related internships if wanted, right, I’d hope?

Just wanted to add that TCNJ is #65 on BusinessWeek Survey

[BusinessWeek survey ranks TCNJ Business as a top program for undergrads](http://www.tcnj.edu/~pa/news/2010/businessweek.htm)

[Top Undergraduate Business Programs 2010 - BusinessWeek](http://bwnt.businessweek.com/bschools/undergraduate/10rankings/index.asp?sortCol=rankid&sortOrder=1&pageNum=2&resultNum=50)

TCNJ is also recognized as a good school, at least if you talk to people in New Jersey lol and know it’s no longer Trenton State.

Well, there is always theater club, and you could possibly switch into Mason Gross eventually. However, arts and sciences is really nice for Rutgers because the area is so broad that you can go into manyyyy different majors before choosing something. Clubs include:
A for Effort (unscripted improv)
College Ave Players (performance arts group for arts and sciences majors, sounds perfect for you)
Hillel Theatre Company (performance arts, basic)
Cabaret Theatre
Livingston Theatre Company

So there are a lot of choices at rutgers!

As for Drew, i think that the academics are fair, i don’t know THAT much about it, but it sounds like the place is big in arts and sciences. If you were accepted into the Rutgers Business school, it sounds like you’d be a big fish in a small tank at Drew and you could really do well.

TCNJ: YES! Very good school, although i think it is still trying to make a name for itself because it was formerly known as Trenton State College, which people associate with Trenton State Jail. So a lot of people do not know what my sister is talking about when she says she goes to The COllege of New Jersey. I guess I would call it an undiscovered jewel. I’m sure there are theatre clubs at TCNJ also.

Hope this helps!
