Any pros and cons about these two programs are very, very appreciated

I am a student at the BS/MD program at Sophie Davis and it is so hard. I was the valedictorian at my HS and I thought I was getting into something good, but I never knew it was this. The students are equally as smart, so it’s hard to stand out. There are typical medical courses, but it’s just that campus is very dirty and outdated, as well as the equipment. Orgo is the hardest course ever, and I barely passed, mind you that you have to keep higher than a C average in the class. I would say the pro of this program is that it’s accelerated, but so is Drexel.
Also, you also won’t get the college experience unless you dorm. CCNY is a city college, but as Sophie students, we don’t interact with those students as much. You have to have very good connections to get somewhere.
The Drexel Program is more well-known, and with Sophie no longer pairing up with well known universities such as NYU, St. Barnabas, etc, nobody knows what Sophie is that well, so I’m nervous if people will take me seriously now as a “med” student.
Pick the Drexel program. I have a friend who goes to SD and she’s constantly complaining about the workload. You only have one yr to mess up so good luck to those who can’t handle the courses. Are you in state or out of state? @student18573
I Junebugxo1. My s just got accepted at Sophie Davis. Can you tell me more about the dorms. Also , r u paying city tuition for the first 3 years? Is it hard to get meched for residency sine SD is not that well known. I would really appreciate your answers bc we r kind of lost.
@kuca The dorms are good, but then again, it’s about 10,000+ to your actual tuition. But the bathrooms are good, and have kitchens. Typically people dorm, because the neighborhood is not too good.
Also, since the school is now it’s own medical school, the tuition changed. Students no longer rotate, but they have to stay at CCNY to finish their schooling. I came thinking I was going to be matched to NYU, but it’s no longer in store for us.
Thank you
