S has been accepted to both for engineering - hard to know which to choose? Anyone have any insight?
Thanks!

Clemson is beautiful.

Hi eurolover, it’s interesting that you posted this in the drexel message board… you’ll likely get a better response about drexel… the question you asked is loaded. Drexel and Clemson are very different universities. One is not better than the other, as is most colleges… they are just very different for very different people. I don’t know much about Clemson, but it does look like a beautiful college with a nice big campus in South Carolina. I also have a good friend that actually moved to Anderson, SC near where Clemson is located from suburban New Jersey and it’s a big big difference. This will most likely be similar to college environment. I think it really comes down to does your son want to live in an action packed city or not. Secondary to that is Drexel’s co-op program which really goes hand in hand with all the big companies/engineering firms in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. If you haven’t already, have your son visit both colleges, speak to the engineering faculty, ask as many questions as possible, survey students on how they like the campuses, and he will come out with a decision on his own. This shouldn’t be your decision, or a decision based on simple rankings or facts. I know too many smart students who did poorly at a college they went to because they simply didn’t like and couldn’t prosper in the environment, for whatever reason (financial, parent/or family convincing to go to a certain college, etc)
