I need to pick up my twins early this Saturday morning for a family event. I wanted to bring a case of water and some other stuff to them. Does anyone know if I will be allowed to drive over to Queen’s Court, or will I have to park in the garage and carry the stuff over?
When you get to the gate (the Southern Blvd gate across from the Botanical Gardens) just tell the guard you are picking up your kids at Queens Court. They also might ask for ID, so have your drivers license handy for them to scan. Just make the right after the guard’s booth, just follow that road (you will go past Coffey Field, McGinley, Murphy Field, and the Prep, and make the left that goes along Loschert/South. You will see a sign that says “All traffic” and it will point left, make that left and you will see Conley and Martyr’s on your right and there’s QC on the left. Just back in by South (you will be facing Martyr’s) to park and you will be good. Or you can try to back in by the walkway along QC by Rod’s (kind of like how you may have done it for move in).
My experience (from a few years back) is that sometimes the guards will let you drive to the dorm and other times they instruct you to park in the lot. It is probably a function of how busy the campus is (and possibly the mood of the guard at that moment). I’d recommend that you be sure to let the guard know you just want to quickly drop off the water and pick up your kids and that you will not be leaving your car by Queens Court unattended.
