I was accepted to UF for the fall. I was taking Physics (Honors) online and I finished the first semester. However, I already had a very heavy course load so I dropped the second semester since I wanted to ease the stress from my life (lol). I was wondering if UF really cares or not regarding physics? I took Chem, Bio and IPS already.

My current senior schedule:

Spanish 3
AP European History
AP Calculus AB
Journalism IV (Honors, I'm an editor)
AP Literature
AP Biology
AP Psychology
AP Microeconomics

I'm hoping that they don't mind and see that I'm taking AP Bio as my science instead...anyways please help! Thank you!! =) go gators!

I’m in the exact situation as you! (Well, except I dropped a math class which was unnecessary, and am taking a similar number of AP classes)

You have to notify admissions through an email of any schedule changes since your senior year schedule was part of their decision. They’ll have to review you again. It’s best to notify them as it could be considered deceitful if it’s unheard of around upon the final acceptance/checks.

Actually, I only mentioned it in the additional section; should I still bother with the email? I didn’t list it as a ‘class’ I’m taking in the official section of senior classes on the application. Should I still bother?

I took Physics online as well and I dropped the second half because I found the course to be pointless and too much work, I had previous physics experience from a summer program (which showed in my app) but not for credit, and I already had my 3 science credits. As usual with any major change your senior year, you should check with admissions, but I think you’ll be fine.

Yeah I also volunteered at a pediatric cancer lab during the summer and I said that in my app. Thank you I emailed them anyways regarding the schedule change.

you do not have to take physics at all if you stay poli sci, it is very easy to avoid in fact. you will just need some physical science credits for liberal arts genera ed requirements that can be easily satisfied with classes like discover the universe or geology 101 or whatever.
