I ended up getting a C in Calc first semester, then had to drop it second semester because of a scheduling conflict with Speech (a graduation requirement for my school).

I'm know I need to let them know ASAP, I just wanted to wait until they had accepted me so it wouldn't effect their decision. Do you think this is going to be an issue? Thanks.

me tooo! I dropped two duel enrollment classes and now I’m afraid they’ll take back my acceptance. Are you guys telling UF in advance, or are you just waiting until you send your final transcripts?

You absolutely need to let them know. It will probably be fine, but they accepted you based on your proposed course load for second semester. If you don’t tell them, you could be in for some unpleasant news when they find out.

How would you recommend handling the situation? I dropped spanish III and college algebra because I was sick and missed too many days. I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining but I also think I should express how it wasn’t my intention to just drop a class.

You definitely need to let them know. UF can always take back their admissions acceptance if they feel that you did not perform to the standards you indicated in your application. I would suggest you call (or visit if you live near campus) the admissions office, and I highly recommend you speak with your guidance counselor before you drop any course.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I really appreciate it. I just heard back today, she said there wouldn’t be any problems since I already have enough math to graduate. For anyone else still waiting, I would highly recommend talking/emailing the admissions office.
