How badly will a W on my transcript hurt me in the long run? I am doing this to salvage my GPA, and the class isn't related to my major anyways. I have no W on my transcript and am currently a sophomore, hopefully I won't have any other W's in the future. But anyways, how do companies/grad schools view W's? Will it make the difference between an acceptance and a rejection?

Well, it's better than an F. It depends on what type of grad school. Really, I don't think one W is that big of a deal.

Doesn't it depend on what kind of class it is? If it's something like psychology or sociology that you have to complete for your degree, then it shouldn't matter (?)
