Dropping an extracurricular hurt my chances?

Hi! Because of the stress of school and the pressure from other extracurricular activities, I am considering dropping my club sport, ice hockey, which up until now has been my most demanding extracurricular. I have competed since sixth grade and am now a Junior, and I am worrying that by dropping the activity my application won’t look as impressive. As of right now I am playing at the highest level possible, and am considering dropping to a lower level for next year instead of not playing at all so I can at least show that I am committed. I don’t want to play in college so I don’t know if playing at a lower level would also hurt my application. Any feedback would be great!

Unless you are going to be recruited for ice hockey, it is fine to drop the sport as long as you have other meaningful activities to fill the time.

And you don’t want to get injured.
