Dropping PE in senior year 2nd semester

So my school has a Physical Education requirement to graduate. I did a semester of Track and Field in 10th grade, so I only need 1 semester of PE in senior year to graduate. However, there are only year-round PE courses at my school, so I just selected one, and assumed I could drop it second semester.

Now, if I did drop PE in senior year 2nd semester, I was wondering if I would have to report it to all my Common App schools. If so, would my admission chance be affected in any way?

Yes. You would have to report any changes to schedule to the colleges. This is assuming that you’re allowed to drop it and that you would still receive the credit and grade from the first semester.

Unlikely.

When you apply, don’t list PE as a 2nd semester course, if it won’t be one. Not sure why this seems to be a major question in your mind. Have you looked at the Common App and what it asks for?

Also check with your guidance counselor and be positive that you will earn the half credit you need ito graduate f you take a one credit class and drop it midway.
