It is tough and you should plan on 5 years to finish, but many students do it so there are well-thought out ways of scheduling classes. The Bienen pages of the NU website spell out how to schedule courses considering frontloading music, 50/50 music, and frontloading liberal arts classes. Check them out. I’m not sure I understand your question about a tuition waiver.

You may also consider posting on the music board. I think there are a couple Bienen parents/students that check in there occasionally. My kid applied for this.
