In our school there are really only a couple of dual enrollment classes that would fulfill a grad requirement, that is, a core subject class. The rest of them are more like electives. Some of the very top students also take classes in person at nearby colleges and those don’t even count towards the GPA. It’s really up to the colleges to decide how they want to accept those classes, and after looking at our course selection guide, it is clear that it’s not a given that they will be transferable.

I have never heard of this. Our experienc is quite the opposite. In fact, our senior honors English class is now dual enrollment, required for graduation but readily accepted by numerous 4 year colleges.
From my D’s DE she got an official transcript from the CC and I don’t think it specifies where the course was taken.
