Hi all! I was wondering if anyone had any advice on double majors at penn state. I was hoping to dual major in a business degree (likely marketing) and social data analytics. I have already been accepted to Smeal so it will be my primary major but I’m not sure how realistic it would be to combine a business degree with social data analytics in the liberal arts school. Can this be completed in a four year timeline? I am an incoming freshman.
It’s possible to dual major at PSU, however, one of the most important considerations is the ability to enroll in all needed courses in the appropriate sequence. D2 managed to dual major in BArch and Anthropology, but in her opinion, her most important asset was her being a Schreyer scholar which enabled her to first selection in needed courses for her degrees.
Hello- definately possible to double major at PSU. My junior daughter has a major in College of A&A and College of Comm- don’t really mix much as far as classes, but by taking a few gen eds each summer (from home PSU class, or MUCH cheaper community colleges), she’s able to be on track for both majors in 4 years and loves it! Sounds like you can handle it, and it certainly can’t hurt to try! good luck!
