I go to a high school where you also take college courses. I thought it was the right choice, but I’m starting to doubt my decision because I see so many people saying that colleges most likely won’t accept me. Of course I was just an 8th grader when I made this desicion, so I didn’t really think of questions like that. I’m really stressing out because I’m a person with very high ambitions and I want to get into a really good college. I’ve take kinisiology, made a 100, speech, 97, and Psych 1301, 89 (not too proud of that), and currently taking Sociology 1301. I make all A’s in my high school classes, high A’s. I’m 4th in my class out of about 80 maybe. I know it’s not that good compared to the small amount of people in my grade. I can’t stop thinking about how I should’ve just gone to a normal high school and taken ap or honors courses. (I’m a sophomore btw) It’s just the original high school I was going to go to was just a bad environment, very bad kids as I went to middle school with them. I just wanted a good environment so I chose the duel credit school. But maybe I should’ve just faced the original high school. Well anyways, did I make the wrong choice? Please be honest.
It is not that the schools will not accept you, it is that some colleges may not accept your college courses for credit. You will still have a “rigorous” HS schedule by taking these courses, but they may not result in getting you out of any college courses (General education or major requirements).
Much depends upon which colleges you are targeting.
Which schools are you thinking about?
